My point of view has been clear and precised from the very beginning. Not sure where you fell off the wagon.

I would not have a problem with "kompa Levanjil" if only there had been a difference from what the secular bands are playing.

Jn. Michel pale sa'w konnen tande. REVELATION performs!!!, and I am saying it because I CAN BACK IT UP!
Rev la goes head to head with Zenglen in an attempt to see who plays better Kompa. Apre sa yo mache vante tet yo, ke yo bat zenglen sal nan kompa!!! How's that for the glory of anything if not selfish fame!?

T-Vice copied "si se pat Bondye fre'm" reversing it to " si se pat pou Bondye" ONLY BECAUSE they can't see the difference. Revelation's music is the same as T-VICE's music. As T-Vice clearly proved with this song.

I actually praised God some of these boys quit this band, as "being part in such band was not doing anything for them spiritually"-quoted from an X-Rev la band member. I will keep T-Harold, Belo, D-ROC, and Max in my prayers as they are in battle.

I praise God for Revelation for sucular bands are copying from them. Secular bands have touched by their testemony and they now know God. Because of Revelation they know that they would not be here today if it wasn't for God. They repeat over and over the words of the gospel because it has reached them. Glory to God for that. And it is not a typical band. It's T-vice which is one of the top 5 Haitian secular band. I pray that God bless Revelation and help them to spread the gospel around the globe. Peace be with you.

I never say that they are praising God. I said that they've reached by the gospel. Which is what Revelation is doing. That's why Revelation plays at those festival. They want to make sure that the Haitian secular bands know that they can play for God. A lot of those musicians that are now playing secular music were pushed by the "Old Haitians" chirstians who some at the same time were just "old Haitians." Those type of Haitians people go to church. They hear, they look but they don't understand. Yo chita leglise la se fe fezer selman yo prop. Yo pa ka distengue sa ki byen a sa ki mal. I thought that they were playing for God?

Are they just trying to showcase their talent to the Konpa World?

Gospel music should satisfy our Lord Jesus Christ, not the Konpa World.

Aren't they playing for Jesus...

When we truly play music for Jesus He knows, we don't need to make sure the Konpa World see us, that is not the purpose of Gospel Music.

God will always notice us, that's why we truly need to play for Him and Him only.

Yes they are playing for God and they are supose to be a model for the world. Therefore the secular world need to see them so that they can see what God has done for them. They are to testify what God has done for them. They have something for "sell" that's why they went to advertise it. Machandise la cho. Li mande liquidation.

COMPAS AND THE FRENCH ANTILLES

Never a style of music has found such a welcome land than in the French Caribbean of Martinique and Guadeloupe mostly. These very friendly peoples who used to play and dance mazurka and buiguine mostly, have quickly adopted the compas. Bands such as Webert Sicot, Raymond Sicot, Les loups Noirs, Les Vickings, Les Ambassadeurs, Magnum Band, Les Freres Dejean, Les Schleu schleu, Bossa Combo, Les Blouzons Verts, Les Gypsies, Les Difficiles, Les Skha Sha, DP Express, Scorpio, Tabou Combo… frequently toured these Islands. Many of them such as Webert and Raymond Sicot, Les Loups Noirs, Les Vickings, Les Ambassadeurs, Magnun bands, Les Freres Dejeans, Les Blousons Verts, and others had remained there for up to 4 years. Besides, in the early 70s, the great Haitian musician composer, Michel Degrottes, had a nice contract to develop the compas music. He was behind the creation of several compas bands. The so-called cadence era of the 70s and mid 80s, was nothing than a proliferation of compas bands
